Company History
Yellow Star Produce & Food Processors began its journey in 1997 as a sole proprietorship under the vision of its founder—a dedicated social worker inspired to combat undernutrition among marginalized children and women in rural and peri-urban communities. Witnessing the dire need for safe, affordable, and nutritious complementary foods, she developed a community-driven model that sourced raw materials locally to produce high-quality, nutrient-rich food products.
This grassroots initiative was met with great success, leading to the formal incorporation of the company as a limited liability entity in 2014. Today, Yellow Star continues its mission to provide affordable, nutrient-dense foods while empowering smallholder farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
