Uganda is special because it has lots of different animals in a small area. In the southwest, there are gorillas and chimpanzees. Also, there are three safari parks where you can see animals like elephants, giraffes, lions, and more.

In the southwest part of Uganda, there are three safari parks: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, and Semliki Valley.

These parks are often visited together with gorilla trekking in Bwindi or Mgahinga and/or chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. You can reach them with just a few hours’ drive, which makes them very popular choices. Outside of the southwest, there are two more safari parks: Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park.

Kidepo is in the far north of the country and is usually included in longer trips. Murchison Falls is considered one of the top safari destinations in Uganda and is often combined with the parks in the southwest.
