DELTA BEES (U) Ltd was formed in 2013 as a registered company limited by shares under registration No 80020000228596 and deals in beekeeping related businesses in East Africa. The company is located in Mbarara town plot 17 Katete word Nyamitanga Divison. It is led by Abanyu Simon an experienced beekeeper and trainer in all beekeeping modules, under the Ministry of Agriculture. The company employs18 fulltime staff 5 per time staff and 67 (group centered) causal workers/Agents that provide hands /practical training in beekeeping related practices. The company operates a social business where we sell beekeeping equipment and input and also buy all beehives products from beekeepers in various communities we are operating. The company deals in production and sale of beekeeping inputs, tools and hive products and is linked to over 3964 beekeepers with 2315 contracted small-scale and commercial beekeepers in 17 districts form central, southwestern and Northern Uganda in districts of Gulu,Hoima,Nwoya,Masindi,Kakumiro,Rubirizi,Nakaseke,Isingiro, Bundibugyo, Kikuube, Yumbe, Bushenyi, Mitooma, Sheema, Ibanda, Mbarara,Tororo among others which we supply to the different companies farmer groups and other development community programs that approach our company. The Core products or services of the company are ; processing , packaging and marketing of beehive products mainly; Honey, propolis tincture, bee venom, pollen, manufacturing, beekeeping in puts like bee suites, beehives of all types, supply and importing of inputs like smokes, bee suits and equipment; beehives , Providing technical skills that boost production and productivity of the beekeeping to the beekeepers and other suppliers of the company for continued business relationship, The company currently sources beehive products from contracted beekeepers in Western Uganda , Central and West Nile districts .
It Also processes, packs and sells over 72 to 82 tons its products through 13 selling points and 9 Delta Bess outlets (field offices) .It also supplies bee products to Hotels, Supermarkets, Pharmacies, herbalists / beverage processors, individual honey buyers and other consumers,
