Leni Consultants LTD is engaged in private limited liability social enterprise engaged in Agribusiness, Business Development and Renewal Energy among smallholder farmers in Acholi, Lango and Teso Regions of Uganda.
The company has decided to work with Smallholder farmers due to the desire to Inspire Wealth, Leadership and Much Impact as they contribute to over 80% of Ugandan population and are among the poorest in the Country.
They grouped and engaged to undertake contract farming, where they work together with their peers, and are able to realize high volumes of produce which they bulk and market collectively at better prices, and at the Households the farming methods are improved due to the introduction of Bio Digester which reduces on tree cutting for wood fuel as the farmers begin to use gas for cooking instead of firewood, they are also prompted to use Bio Slurry instead of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides which are costly and also have health impact on the farmers some resulting into cancer among others.
