NatureUganda (NU) is the operational name of the East Africa Natural History Society (EANHS) in Uganda and the oldest conservation non-governmental organization (NGO) in East Africa (Kenya and Uganda).
Overtime, NU has diversified its activities to include public awareness and education, biodiversity research and monitoring, and promoting the conservation of priority species, sites and habitats.
Today NatureUganda’s work is firmly based on partnerships, science and action, using the best available science. We inspire partners including governments, communities and private sector stakeholders to take practical actions to conserve nature.
To increase our impacts we collaborate with partners at local, national, regional and international levels, linking with community groups, governments, businesses, research institutions and civil society groups. NU is the BirdLife International partner in Uganda and a member of IUCN.
