AVAL Agroecology

AVAL Agroecology Ltd is a youth led social enterprise in Uganda that empowers smallholder farmers by reducing post-harvest losses through solar-powered processing of fruits and vegetables, especially pineapples. They transform surplus produce into nutritious dried snacks, powders, organic fertilizers, and fresh juice, a circular economy and zero-waste approach. AVAL’s mission is to provide sustainable agro-processing solutions that increase farmers’ incomes, reduce food waste, and support climate-smart agriculture. Their vision is to build a farmer-driven, environmentally responsible agrifood system that fosters inclusive economic growth and community transformation.
