Consult Afrika Usalama (CAU) is a Woman-led Premier Social Enterprise established to offer Specialized Services in Public Health and Safety in Africa. CAU was legally first established in 2013 as a Company Limited by Guarantee, and re-registered in 2023 with Uganda Registration Services Bureau on registration no: 80010003843644. This Social Enterprise is a Member of UK Uganda Health Alliance, Women’s Social Enterprises Network, and Civil Society Coalition for Transport.
Usalama is a Swahili word meaning “Safety”. Consult Afrika Usalama was formed as result of a felt need in communities to address issues of Public Health and Safety professionally and an urge to cause a change in how public health and safety issues are comprehended, managed, highlighted, promoted and inculcated in our behaviors. Our areas of emphasis are Community Health and Safety on the Road, at Home, in Schools and at Work Places.

Mission: To improve the quality of life through creating mass of public health and safety conscious individuals and corporate bodies that will transform and create a safety culture in African communities.

- To promote public health and safety awareness and education.
- To provide affordable health and safety services for communities (schools, homes, workplaces)
- To build capacity in occupational health and safety, road safety, home safety & school safety.
- To advocate for public health and safety rights.
- To support post-crash interventions through advocacy and trauma counselling.
- To collaborate with other related partners for effective public health and safety.
- To mentor students and provide advisory consultancy in public health and safety
- To conduct Research, Assessments and Audits in Public Health & Safety.
