Dignified Foundation (DF) is a Ugandan non-governmental organization founded in 2022 to
address gender inequality in access to economic resources, the degradation of key
ecosystems, and low civic participation among youth and women.
Since its inception, DF has concentrated on addressing Menstrual Health Management
(MHM) challenges faced by girls and women, vocational training, creating sustainable,
reusable and affordable pads that are certified by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards
(UNBS), distribution of MHM Kits including reusable pads, pants, and soap, textile recycling,
and knitting. Our trained team empowers women, especially adolescent girls, single mothers,
and teenage mothers, with practical skills and knowledge, helping them to overcome life
challenges and pursue personal and professional growth. DF has also conducted community
surveys to inform program development based on lived realities.

Through participatory surveys and ongoing engagement, we design programs that reflect the
real-life experiences of our target populations. As we grow, DF aims to scale its impact by
expanding into underserved communities in Uganda and refugee settlements. Leveraging
insights from the 2024 Uganda National Census, our future programming will prioritize
economically marginalized communities, ensuring equitable access to dignified health
solutions and livelihood opportunities
