Ndizi Microfinance Limited was founded by three visionary individuals—a Kenyan, a Ugandan, and a Congolese—who met while pursuing their Master’s in Business Administration at Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Kampala. Their diverse backgrounds in pastoralism, farming, and construction gave them unique insights into the challenges faced by underserved communities across Uganda. United by a shared vision, they set out to establish a financial institution that would empower individuals and foster inclusive development.
The name “Ndizi,” symbolizing the banana plant’s resilience and productivity, reflects their commitment to sustainability and growth. Drawing inspiration from the plant’s role in Ugandan culture and agriculture, they built a microfinance institution rooted in resilience, productivity, and community.
Since its inception, Ndizi Microfinance has grown into a trusted partner for over 210,000 clients. The institution offers innovative and inclusive financial services, focusing on areas such as water and sanitation financing, affordable housing, agricultural support, and youth entrepreneurship. Operating in districts like Kampala, Wakiso, Yumbe, Mukono, and Kasese, Ndizi has transformed lives by providing accessible financial solutions that drive development and prosperity.
