Solar Pesa Uganda

Solar Pesa Uganda is a social enterprise that provides access to affordable off-grid solar products, such as solar lamps, home systems, and appliances, through a lease-to-own (R2O) business model. They use a network of local, trained agents, including women and youth, who operate solar kiosks to distribute these products and services. Solar Pesa won the D-Prize solar lamp challenge in 2023 and has been distributing products to thousands of beneficiaries in rural West Nile.
